Hello and always welcome I appreciate your reading this 4U Do you ever feel captive in your own life, held to ransom by outer circumstances? The below caption is in The Mind Mechanic that I wrote several years ago. (Whaia te iti kahurangi, kit e tuohu koe me he maunga teitei.) Seek the treasures you value most dearly, if you bow your head let it be to a lofty mountain. Maree's weekly quote 4u Its not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves. Ed Hilary.
In todays conflicted climate hold to the fact that where there is pain, there will be strength. Where there is sadness, there will be wisdom. And where there is fear, there will be renewal.
If you are at the bottom or the top of your mountain on this day-simply take in a cleansing breath and put your best foot forward, and always walk on tall.
Phillip Butler (and American Vietnam POW) quoted - Optimism and humour are the grease and glue of life. Without both of them we would never have survived our captivity. Now thats perspective, and you have the power to change yours at any time. Becuase so what if it takes a long time...
So what if it's already taken longer than you thought?
So what if it will still take longer?
The day will nevertheless arrive, as it always does, when all your prior efforts, mountainous determination, and those walking onwards steps, will bring you to that place your desire- Crazy thing is when you do get there, you will hear yourself say "Wow, that was fast.", I wish I could start over and do it all differently now..oh the irony. Oh yes it will happen, with or without your stress, and struggle..which way do you choose.
